Success Story
Read how a free surgery funded by Transparent Hands donors transformed a patient's life.
Kanwal Iqbal, a 36-year-old woman from Multan, was going through a difficult and high-risk pregnancy. This was her third pregnancy, and she had previously delivered both of her children through C-sections. As her pregnancy progressed, she began visiting a local hospital regularly for medical checkups. The doctor carefully reviewed her medical history and conducted a detailed examination. Considering her history of two C-sections and the risks involved in her pregnancy, the doctor advised another C-section for a safe delivery. However, the cost of the procedure was beyond the family’s financial capacity.
Kanwal is a housewife and lives in a rented house with her husband and children. Her husband works as a laborer and earns only PKR 15,000 per month. This limited income barely covers their house rent, food, utility bills, and other household expenses. Managing expenses was already difficult for the family, and arranging money for a C-section was not possible for them. During this challenging time, Kanwal reached out to Transparent Hands. After reviewing her medical condition and financial circumstances, we registered her case.
With your generous support, Kanwal was admitted to the Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital in Multan on March 9, 2026. The following day, Dr. Humaira Imran successfully performed her C-section. The surgery went smoothly, and Kanwal safely gave birth to a healthy baby boy. Both mother and baby remained under medical observation and received proper post-operative care. After showing satisfactory recovery, they were discharged in stable condition on March 11, 2026.
Kanwal shared her feelings as follows:
“I was worried about my baby because my husband could not afford the C-section. Holding my son in my arms after the operation felt like a blessing. Your support brought happiness and relief to our family at a time when we felt completely overwhelmed. I will always remember your kindness and generosity.”
Today, Kanwal and her newborn son are doing well at home.
Her family is sincerely thankful to you for ensuring a safe C-section.
