Muhammad Jam, a 78-year-old man from Hyderabad, had been living with severe pain and limited mobility after a roadside accident left him with a fractured left leg. Walking or standing became extremely painful, and he gradually lost the ability to bear weight on his left leg. Following the accident, Muhammad Jam received treatment at a hospital. Unfortunately, the fracture did not heal properly despite the medical care he received. Hoping to find a solution, he later consulted another doctor for a detailed evaluation. After reviewing his condition and conducting the necessary investigations, the doctor diagnosed him with nonunion of the left tibia. To restore stability and promote proper healing, the doctor recommended left tibia intramedullary nailing.

Affording the surgery was impossible for Muhammad Jam and his family. He is currently unemployed and has no personal source of income. His two sons work as daily wage laborers and together they earn only PKR 35,000 per month. Their combined income is used to manage the household's basic needs, leaving no savings for this expensive orthopedic surgery. Hoping to regain his mobility, Muhammad Jam reached out to Transparent Hands for help. After reviewing his medical reports and financial circumstances, his case was approved for treatment.

On June 15 2026, Muhammad Jam was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. His left tibia intramedullary nailing was successfully performed by Dr. Fahad Jatoi on June 16, 2026. The procedure stabilized the fractured bone and created the conditions necessary for proper healing. After receiving post-operative care, he was discharged in stable condition on June 17, 2026.
