Success Story
Read how a free surgery funded by Transparent Hands donors transformed a patient's life.
Yaseen Muhammad, a 38-year-old man from Kasur, had been going through a very difficult time, facing complications from a previous abdominal injury. He began experiencing a painful swelling in the ventral region of his abdomen along with nausea and repeated vomiting. His condition gradually worsened, making it difficult for him to move comfortably or carry out routine activities. Concerned about his deteriorating health, Yaseen visited a local hospital and consulted a doctor for a detailed medical evaluation. After undergoing thorough examinations and diagnostic tests, he was diagnosed with an Incisional Hernia.
Previously, Yaseen had undergone an exploratory laparotomy after sustaining a penetrating abdominal injury. Over time, weakness developed around the surgical incision site, which led to the formation of the hernia. Considering the severity of his condition, the doctor recommended Mesh Hernioplasty and Adhesiolysis to repair the hernia and relieve his symptoms. However, the cost of the surgery was far beyond Yaseen’s financial capacity.
Yaseen lives in a modest house with his wife and four children. Due to his illness, he has been unable to work, placing immense financial pressure on the family. His father and brother have been supporting the household, but their limited income is barely enough to manage food, utility bills, and other daily expenses. Arranging money for a major surgery was impossible for them. During this difficult time, Yaseen reached out to Transparent Hands. After carefully reviewing his medical reports and financial condition, we registered his case.
With your generous support, Yaseen was admitted to the Ahmed Medical Complex, Kasur, on March 2, 2026. Due to his condition, Dr. Umair Samee successfully performed Mesh Hernioplasty and Laparotomy. The surgery went smoothly, and Yaseen remained under medical observation for post-operative care. He was discharged in stable condition on March 5, 2026.
Yaseen shared his feelings as follows:
“The pain had made my life extremely difficult, and I felt helpless because I could not support my family anymore. After the surgery, I finally feel relieved and hopeful again. Your support has given me strength during one of the hardest phases of my life.”
Today, Yaseen is recovering well and gradually returning to normal life.
His family is sincerely thankful to you for bringing relief and hope into Yaseen’s life.
