Success Story
Read how a free surgery funded by Transparent Hands donors transformed a patient's life.
Narmeen Naveed, a 27-year-old woman from Lahore, was in the final stage of her pregnancy and waiting to welcome her second child. Her heart was filled with hope, but her previous C-section made this delivery more complicated. During her examination, Narmeen’s doctor reviewed her medical history and advised another C-section to ensure the safety of both the mother and baby. A normal delivery could have placed her at serious risk due to her past C-section, including excessive bleeding, uterine rupture, and distress for the baby. The recommended C-section was essential to help her deliver her baby safely.
However, Narmeen’s family was not in a position to afford the surgery. She is a housewife and lives in a rented house with her husband and child. Her husband works as a salesman and earns only PKR 25,000 per month. His limited income is spent on rent, food, utilities, and household needs, leaving no savings for healthcare. She contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help. Moved by her plea, we registered her case.
On April 24, 2026, Narmeen was admitted to Ahmed Medical Complex in Kasur. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Saman. She safely delivered a healthy baby boy. After receiving post-operative care and observation, both the mother and baby were discharged in stable condition on April 26, 2026.
Holding her newborn son, Narmeen shared:
“I was worried about my delivery because we could not afford the C-section. Your support gave me hope at a time when I needed it most. Today, my baby boy is safe in my arms, and I am thankful for this kindness.”
Narmeen and her baby are now doing well. The safe delivery has brought happiness and relief to her family.
Your generosity helped protect a mother and her newborn child, giving them a healthy and hopeful future.
