Anum Mai, a 32-year-old woman from Multan, was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her fifth child. She was pleased and worried simultaneously. Due to her history of a previous C-section, her gynecologist advised another elective C-section. This decision was made to ensure the safe delivery of her baby and protect her from life-threatening complications. However, the cost of the C-section was out of her family’s financial capacity.

Anum is a dedicated housewife. Sadly, her husband has been unemployed for some time, leaving the family without a stable source of income. They survive with the occasional financial help of relatives, but it is barely enough to meet their daily needs. On August 12, 2025, Anum was admitted to the Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. On August 13, 2025, her C-section was carried out by Dr. Tehreem Rasheed. On that day, Anum welcomed a healthy baby boy into her family. She remained under observation and received post-operative care. She was discharged in satisfactory condition on August 15, 2025.
