Success Story

Read how a free surgery funded by Transparent Hands donors transformed a patient's life.

Nazia Shaukat, a 33-year-old woman from Multan, was in the advanced stage of her pregnancy with her fourth child. Having a history of two previous C-sections, her pregnancy was considered high-risk. This period, which is usually filled with anticipation and joy, was instead accompanied by concern due to possible complications. During her regular prenatal checkups, a doctor advised that another C-section would be the safest option to ensure the wellbeing of both the mother and baby. However, arranging money for the procedure was beyond the financial capacity of her family.

Nazia lives in a modest home with her husband and three young children. She is a homemaker, while her husband works as a salesman at a local shop, earning around PKR 20,000 per month. This limited income is barely enough to manage household expenses, which meant that the C-section was beyond their financial reach. During this challenging time, Nazia’s family reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case.

On April 3, 2026, Nazia was admitted to the Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital in Multan. On April 4, 2026, her C-section was performed by Dr. Humaira Imran, who successfully conducted the delivery without complications. Nazia delivered a healthy baby boy, bringing relief and happiness to the family. She remained at the hospital for post-delivery care and was discharged in stable condition on April 6, 2026.

Nazia shared her feelings as follows:

“This pregnancy was full of worry for me because of my previous C-sections and financial hardships. After the delivery, I feel relieved and grateful that everything went well. I am truly thankful to you for making this safe C-section possible for me.”

Today, Nazia Shaukat is recovering well with her newborn son in good health.

Her family is overjoyed to welcome the baby safely and extends heartfelt gratitude to you for your generous support that made this C-section possible.
