Success Story
Read how a free surgery funded by Transparent Hands donors transformed a patient's life.
Shazia Bibi, a 30-year-old woman from Multan, faced a challenging moment in her life when she was pregnant with her third child. Having already undergone two C-sections, she understood that attempting a normal delivery could put both her life and her baby's life at risk. During her antenatal checkups, the doctor closely monitored her condition and explained that another C-section was the safest option. Due to her previous C-sections, a surgical delivery was essential to prevent serious complications such as uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and distress to the baby.
Shazia lives in a modest rented home with her husband and their two children. Her husband works as a laborer and is the family's only earning member, bringing home just PKR 22,000 per month. His modest income is barely enough to manage rent, utility bills, food, and the educational expenses of their children. Setting aside money for the C-section was simply not possible. Hoping to protect both mother and child, the family contacted Transparent Hands. After assessing Shazia's medical records and financial condition, her case was registered.
On June 8, 2026, Shazia was admitted to the Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital in Multan. Her C-section was successfully performed by Dr. Shazia Jang Sher on June 9, 2026. The operation went smoothly, and Shazia safely gave birth to a healthy baby girl. After receiving post-operative care, both mother and daughter were discharged in stable condition on June 11, 2026.
Shazia expressed her joy as follows:
"As my delivery date came closer, I worried every day about how we would afford the C-section. My husband works hard, but his income is only enough for our family's daily needs. Thanks to you, I was able to safely welcome my baby girl into the world. Your generosity has given our family a beautiful blessing, and I will always remember your kindness."
Today, Shazia and her baby girl are doing well.
Your generosity brought peace of mind to their family and gave their little girl a safe and healthy beginning in life.
