Success Story
Read how a free surgery funded by Transparent Hands donors transformed a patient's life.
Khalida Parveen, a 49-year-old woman from Dadu, Sindh, had been struggling with heavy menstrual bleeding and lower abdominal pain for the past three years. Despite trying multiple medications prescribed by her doctor, her symptoms persisted. Daily activities became exhausting, and her quality of life significantly deteriorated. After a detailed medical evaluation, Khalida was diagnosed with Dysfunctional Uterine Bleeding (DUB). Since medications failed to control her symptoms, her doctor advised a Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy (TAH + BSO) to remove the uterus along with both ovaries and fallopian tubes.
Khalida’s family faced severe financial constraints. Her husband works as a security guard at a private company, earning only PKR 25,000 per month. This meager income was insufficient to cover their household expenses. Due to their financial hardships, they couldn’t afford Khalida’s surgery. During this challenging period, Noreen reached out to Transparent Hands for support. After understanding her situation, her case was registered.
On August 13, 2025, Khalida was admitted to Murshid Hospital in Karachi. Dr. Samreen Zeeshan successfully performed her Total Abdominal Hysterectomy with Bilateral Salpingo-Oophorectomy. The surgery went smoothly, and she was closely monitored for post-operative care. Khalida was discharged in stable condition on August 15, 2025.
Khalida expressed her gratitude in the following words: “For years, I experienced constant pain and heavy bleeding, leaving me weak and anxious every day. I felt hopeless when medications failed, and simple tasks became difficult. After this surgery, I feel healthy, strong, and relieved. Your support restored my well-being, and I am thankful to you.”
Today, Khalida is recovering well. She can now perform daily activities comfortably and live without fear of health complications.
Khalida and her family extend their heartfelt gratitude to you for supporting her surgery. Your kindness made a meaningful impact on her life.
