Khadim Hussain, a 57-year-old resident of Hyderabad, had been living with a painful lump in his left groin that gradually worsened over time. What initially seemed like a minor problem slowly developed into a condition that affected every aspect of his daily life. Walking became uncomfortable, and sitting for long periods was difficult. Concerned about his worsening condition, Khadim visited a local hospital for a medical evaluation. After a detailed examination, the doctor diagnosed him with a left-sided inguinal hernia, a condition in which internal tissues protrude through a weakened area of the abdominal wall. Khadim's financial circumstances made treatment impossible. He is unemployed and relies entirely on his family for support. He lives with his wife and five children in a modest one-room house. His two sons work as laborers and together earn only PKR 25,000 per month, which is barely enough to cover the family's basic needs. On April 14, 2026, Khadim was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. On April 16, 2026, his hernioplasty was successfully performed by Dr. Aftab Ahmed Soomro. The procedure repaired the hernia and relieved the source of his persistent pain. After receiving post-operative care and observation, Khadim was discharged in stable condition on April 18, 2026.
