Success Story

Read how a free surgery funded by Transparent Hands donors transformed a patient's life.

Esha Ghulam Hussain, a 14-year-old girl from Matiari, Sindh, had been suffering from repeated throat infections for the past three years. She frequently experienced severe sore throat, fever, and painful swallowing, which made it difficult for her to eat comfortably or carry out her daily activities. The constant discomfort and recurring illness affected both her health and her childhood, leaving her weak and exhausted. Concerned about her worsening condition, Esha’s family took her to a nearby hospital for medical evaluation. After conducting the necessary examinations and tests, the doctors diagnosed her with Chronic Tonsillitis. To permanently relieve her symptoms and prevent future infections, the doctors recommended a tonsillectomy.

Esha’s life had already been marked by hardships. Nearly ten years ago, her father abandoned the family, leaving her mother to raise six children alone. Since then, the family has survived mainly through occasional support from relatives, amounting to nearly PKR 10,000 per month. They live together with Esha’s aunt and grandfather in a modest home, struggling to manage even their basic needs. In such difficult circumstances, arranging money for Esha’s surgery was impossible for the family. As Esha’s health continued to suffer, her mother reached out to Transparent Hands for support. After reviewing her medical reports and understanding the family’s financial condition, Transparent Hands registered Esha’s case for treatment.

On April 13, 2026, Esha was admitted to the Isra University Welfare Hospital in Hyderabad. The following day, on April 14, 2026, her tonsillectomy was successfully performed by Dr. Amrat Kumar. The operation removed her infected tonsils, the source of her recurring throat infections. After receiving proper post-operative care and monitoring, Esha recovered well and was discharged in stable condition on April 15, 2026.

Expressing her gratitude, Esha’s mother shared:

“For years, my daughter remained sick and in pain, and I felt helpless because we could not afford her treatment. After the surgery, she is finally feeling better and eating comfortably again. Your support has brought relief and happiness back into our lives. We are deeply thankful for your kindness.”

Esha is now recovering steadily and looking forward to living a healthier and happier life free from the pain and infections that once troubled her constantly.

Her family is sincerely grateful to you for giving their daughter a chance to heal and smile again.
