Medical Camp

Learn about this Transparent Hands free medical camp providing healthcare to underserved communities in Pakistan.

Transparent Hands, with the support of the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), the Global Alliance Against Poverty (GAAP) and other Donors, organized a free medical camp and preventive healthcare session at Government High School, Ayun Valley, Chitral, on August 26, 2025. The camp was arranged to provide vital healthcare services to the underserved population of Chitral.

Services Provided

A total of 397 deserving patients benefited from free consultations provided by a team of experienced doctors. In addition to thorough checkups, patients received free medicines and underwent various diagnostic tests. The tests included:

  •         Diabetes tests
  •         Uric acid tests
  •         Hepatitis B and C screenings
  •         Cholesterol tests
  •         Blood pressure checkups

Preventive Healthcare Session

Besides medical care, a preventive healthcare session was conducted at the camp by one of our expert doctors. During this session, we empowered the attendees with information about Gastritis.

Impact

The free medical camp made a significant impact on the lives of 397 patients in Ayun Valley, Chitral. Limited medical facilities and financial constraints prevented many patients from receiving timely healthcare services in Chitral. This camp became a turning point in their lives and brought them immense relief.

Through this camp, they finally received timely consultations, essential medicines, and diagnostic tests free of cost. The medical team helped them understand their conditions and guided them towards better health practices.
