Transparent Hands is organizing a free Hepatitis B and C screening and vaccination camp in Sialkot to improve access to preventive healthcare for underprivileged communities. Hepatitis B and C are serious public health challenges in Pakistan, and many people are unaware of their infection until it reaches an advanced stage.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has identified Sialkot as one of the regions with a high prevalence of Hepatitis B & C in Pakistan. In Sialkot, financial hardships and limited access to quality healthcare prevent many deserving patients from receiving timely screenings and vaccinations. Through this initiative, we aim to provide free Hepatitis B and C screenings, Hepatitis B vaccinations, consultations, and a preventive healthcare session for underprivileged communities in Sialkot.

Challenges Hepatitis B and C are among the leading causes of chronic liver disease in Pakistan. In Sialkot, many low-income families cannot afford routine medical check-ups, screenings, and vaccinations. Limited awareness about the modes of transmission and the importance of early detection further contributes to delayed diagnosis. As a result, many patients only seek medical care after developing serious liver complications, when treatment becomes more complex and costly.
